Peru Itinerary July 15th to 24th 2025 -Pisco, Peaks and Peruvian Adventures...

Day 1, July 15th: Arrival to Peru

Welcome to Perú! As you land at Lima Airport, get ready for an exciting adventure. Once you've grabbed your bags, you will head to your hotel nearby. Tonight, we’ll all meet up for our first of many meal together, a perfect opportunity to meet everyone. We will stay close to the airport for our flight to Cusco the following day. Overnight in Lima.



Day 2, July 16th: Flight to Cusco and cooking class

This morning we will leave Lima and take a flight to Cusco, and a bus will be waiting at the airport to take us to our hotel. In the afternoon, we'll do a Peruvian cooking classes. Experience the culinary adventure of creating your own Andean-Peruvian menu. Accompanied by a local chef, explore the San Pedro Market to purchase fresh ingredients, transform them into a traditional Peruvian dish, and afterwards savor the results of your effort with a Pisco sour made by you. Overnight in Cusco. Internal flight luggage 23kg check in and 10kg carry on. Meal plan (Breakfast)



Day 3, July 17th: Scared Vally and Ollantaytambo

Today after breakfast, we check out early and make our way to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and soak in the sights of its terraces, temples, and the cool agriculture and textile processes. We will do a guided tour of the Chinchero archaeological park and visit a textile centre. Then explore Moray and Salineras de Maras before heading over to the last Inca city, Ollantaytambo, we will then do a tour of Ollantaytambo archaeological park before heading to our hotel for the night. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 4 July 18th: Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Caliente and visit Machu Pichu

Our journey to Aguas Calientes begins this morning, the gateway to Machu Picchu, it kicks off from Ollantaytambo train station. We will hop on the Vista dome observatory train and soak in the stunning views of the Valley of the Incas as we head towards one of the world's 7 wonders. Once we reach Aguas Calientes, someone will be there to meet us at the station and walk us to our accommodation (since there are no cars in town). We will drop our bags and make our way to Machu Picchu. We will explore the Lost City of the Incas, "Machu Picchu," with your own private guide. Dive into the mysteries of the Incas and wander through this iconic wonder of the world. We can only carry little luggage (backpacks only to Aguas Caliente). Overnight in Aguas Caliente.

Day 5 July 19th: Train back to Ollantaytambo, bus to Cusco and Cusco City tour.

This morning we will head back to the train station in Aguas Calientes and board the Expedition train to Ollantaytambo/Poroy, and then from there continue by bus back to Cusco. When back in Cusco in the afternoon we will do a walking tour and discover the history of Cusco from pre-Inca times to the present day. We will start the tour in the Plaza de Armas and learn about architecture and religion. Visit Hatun Rumiyoc Street where the famous 12 angle stone is located. Walk the picturesque streets of the San Blas neighborhood, famous for its artistic and artisanal atmosphere and end the tour with the best panoramic view of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 6 July 20th: Rainbow Mountain

Today is the day we discover Rainbow Mountain, the most visited peak in Peru, also known as the Vinicunca Mountain, Mountain of 7 Colors and Red Mountain. Explore this natural marvel surrounded by snow-capped peaks, camelids, birds, rivers, and Andean communities. We will get up early and on route in Cusipata we will stop for breakfast, then proceed to Phulawasipata. Begin our 1.5 to 2 hour hike to the Rainbow mountain viewpoint (5100 meters above sea level). There will also be the option to go to the top via motorbikes at a small extra cost. At the summit, we'll snap epic photos with the adorable llamas before making our grand descent, either hiking or biking, then back to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch. Finally, we'll return to Cusco with stories to tell and selfies to share!

Day 7 July 21st: Cusco to Lima to Huacachina

Time to wave goodbye to the high life—literally! This morning, you'll hop on a flight back to Lima, where we'll jump on a bus for a 4-hour ride to the EPIC desert oasis of Huacachina. Don't worry, we'll make a pit stop for lunch to keep our spirits high. Once we arrive, the evening is to relax and walk around the lake and go a drink etc. Internal flight luggage 23kg check in and 10kg carry on. Overnight in the epic Huacachina Oasis.

Day 8 July 22nd: Ica Pisco Tour and Huacachina Dune Bashing & Sandboarding

Today we are going to go to the land of Pisco—Peru's national drink! We'll do a small guided tour in a vineyard in the Ica region and get to sample all the different types And while we are there, we will grab a traditional Peruvian lunch. We will then head back to Huacachina for more adventure, experience the thrill of sliding down the dunes in the Huacachina desert. Buckle up for an exhilarating ride that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. We will also have the chance to sand board down the dunes at sunset. All participants must walk 20m ish in the dunes to reach the buggies, but I done it with my dodgy legs so totally doable. Overnight in epic Huacachina Oasis. Meal plan (Breakfast)



Day 9 July 23th: Huacachina to Paracas (Ballestas Island Tour) to Lima

This morning we will leave our beautiful desert oasis and head for Paracas. We will set out to explore the natural wonders of the Ballestas Islands, where we will be able to observe exotic birds, sea lions, and penguins (seasonally) in their natural environment. If Paracas Port is closed due to weather conditions we will visit to the Paracas National Reserve instead. Afterwards we will head back to Lima to our accommodation for our a farewell dinner together.

Day 10 July 24th: Departure day

Today it's time to say goodbye to everyone as we end the tour. There will be an airport transfers to the airport to catch your flight home unless of course you choose to extend your stay in Peru for another few days. Meal plan: (Breakfast)

Note the tour starts in Lima and ends in Lima.


Included: All transport, all accommodation, 2 x internal flights, cooking class, vistadome train, meals as indicated, all activities mentioned in the itinerary, licensed guide & Irish trip leader


NOT included: International flights to/from Peru, Travel insurance (compulsory), meals not listed in the itinerary, motor bike rental at rainbow mountain and tips.


Terms and conditions & fine print:

The itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Brenda may not be leading this tour. All rooms on our trips are shared, with two people per room. We’ll match you with an adventure buddy, giving you the perfect chance to make new friends! To keep things fresh, you’ll switch roommates every couple of nights and connect with someone new.


If you are satisfied with the proposed itinerary and wish to proceed, a deposit of €500 will be necessary to confirm your reservation. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable for various reasons. By making the deposit, you are agreeing to these terms. The non-refundable nature of the deposit is essential due to the immediate planning and costs associated with securing your spot on the tour. This policy also helps ensure that all participants are fully committed to the trip.


The balance of €1850 will be due 8 weeks before trip start date (20th of May 2025). You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.


With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is required to book all accommodation and transportation which are non-refundable or changeable.


For the balance of your payment, I maybe able to refund this up 8 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 8 weeks, and I cannot refund you.


I suggest you take out comprehensive travel-insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should you have to cancel you are covered, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company. Keep an eye on the excess required.
